Humans have a rich tradition of storytelling. It is our way of connecting with the past and those who have gone before. Tales told around a fire; adventurers and explorers, rememberings of wars fought, and love’s first kiss. Add your story to our shared history, our common lore.
From my first “documentary” about the cows on our farm with my grandma’s Hi8 camera I have always pursued telling real stories. After attending the Vancouver Film School, I went on to gain credits as a director/producer in news, camera assistant for the show “Buying and Selling with the Property Brothers” and cameraman for the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos.
I knew when I was young that I always wanted to work with a camera, and I have followed that passion with a purpose. I’m excited to put my passion to work telling your story.
I’ve been a hopeless romantic since childhood. I adore real life love stories, so no words can express how excited I am to be doing this! Before Andrew and I started out on our adventure I studied art at the University of Saskatchewan. I’ve always preferred people as subject matter so the transition to film has seemed natural. It is a lot of fun working with Andrew; we complement each others styles. Besides waiting in great anticipation for the next story to shoot, I can be found on long walks with our two munchkins, drawing mostly with pastels or graphite, and planning my next outdoor adventure.
A penny for your thoughts…
